A small alpine village in Norway. Small enough to be personal, big enough to offer diversity.
Beitostølen was both a farm and a home for the farms in Beito, but today it has developed into a great destination and a home for many permanent residents (about 500) and a second home for many cabin owners (about 1500).
In the middle of the city center is Beitostølen Torg with shops and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. In Skjenhauglie is P3, a small parking area with a short walk to the ski slope, Riddergaarden, Riddertunet apartments and Bergo cabins, and with the possibility of fast charging for electric cars.
Beitostølen's history as a mountain destination began in 1965 with Steinar Hovi at the helm. Today, the destination consists of a number of hotels such as Riddergaarden Mountain Lodge, Radisson Blu Mountain Resort and several apartment and cabin complexes as well as Beitostølen ski lifts, Beitostølen summer park and Raudalen alpine.
At the same time, Beitostølen is ViaFerrata, a music festival, cat-skiing over the high mountains, a cross-country skiing mecca, the home of professional athletes, Norway's longest bar counter, the gateway to Jotunheimen, the Randoné paradise, the Gjende Alps, dog sledding, the 1500-meter peaks are part of the mountain tour package for children in Valdres, powder snow, summer bobsleigh track, experiences from horseback, a large activity park without plastic - fantastic, a mountain bike Eldorado.
