The planet is in danger, and we want to take our share of responsibility to contribute positively. This is exciting, challenging, and very rewarding work. And we are convinced that a healthier planet leads to healthier people - and a healthier economy.
Transparency Act
On July 1, 2022, the Transparency Act came into force. The purpose of the law is to promote the company's respect for fundamental human rights and decent working conditions in connection with the production of goods and the provision of services, and to ensure the public's access to information on how companies handle negative consequences for fundamental human rights and decent working conditions.
Onepark is covered by the Transparency Act, and we have prepared a statement on the due diligence assessments we have made in accordance with Section 5 of the Transparency Act.
Sustainability Report 2022
Our Sustainability report 2022 provides a retrospective look at the measures we took in 2022 and the measures we will initiate going forward.
"We have many clients, but we have not experienced such concrete measures from any other clients directed towards us as a supplier. It is a great inspiration, not only for us as a business but also in relation to the advice we give to our other clients regarding sustainability and the green shift!"
Elin Mathisen, Partner/Lawyer, Berngaard Law Firm
ISO Certified 9001 and 14001
Onepark has taken several clear steps to become a greener company in 2021 and is certified with ISO 9001 (quality) and ISO 14001 (environmental management). DNV conducted the third-party certification.
Membership in UN Global Compact
Since 2021, Onepark has been a member of the UN Global Compact program. This is a global network for businesses that want to work more sustainably, with a strong focus on ethics. The work includes safeguarding human rights, labor rights, and social conditions, the external environment, and combating corruption. The Global Compact program is based on the UN's Sustainable Development Goals. There are a total of 17 goals, and we have selected four goals that are particularly relevant to our business and our extended social responsibility.
These are Sustainable Development Goals:
- 11 - Sustainable Cities and Communities
- 13 - Climate Action
- 14 - Life Below Water
- 15 - Life on Land
Electric Buses at Oslo Airport
At Oslo Airport, we previously had a shuttle service for air passengers based on diesel-powered buses. These were replaced with electric buses in 2022. Almost all of the company's other vehicles are also electric cars.

The eCitaro is a fully electric city bus that takes e-mobility to a whole new level. The intelligent interplay between innovative battery and charging technology, the network of IT and communication systems, and last but not least, its striking futuristic design, makes it the standard for electric city buses, ready today for the city of tomorrow.
Onepark's operations do not require emission permits, but we are well-informed about the authorities' overall environmental and climate goals. Emissions from our operations are mainly related to water and some cleaning chemicals, as well as the use of electricity.
Purchasing Origin Guarantees (GO) from Ecohz
All our operations are now powered by renewable energy, documented with origin guarantees from Ecohz. Their goal is to enable a faster transition to a low-carbon society. Ecohz pursues this by engaging at various levels: delivering products, improving frameworks, and forming partnerships for innovation. Ecohz is an independent supplier with worldwide partnerships and over 400 international customers.
They have a portfolio of more than 800 power plants on six continents, delivering a range of renewable electricity solutions and decarbonization products such as biogas, carbon credits, and Scope 3 digital platforms. Onepark has purchased origin guarantees from Istad Kraftverk, a hydropower plant in Molde municipality in Møre og Romsdal. It was built in 1919 and uses a waterfall of 160 meters from the Høljan reservoir.
Onepark has purchased guarantees of origin from Ecohz with a volume of 1800 MWh for 2023.
Purchasing Certified Climate Quotas (Gold Standard) from Myclimate
We are working to map and reduce our climate emissions and have purchased climate quotas for the remaining volume from Swiss Myclimate, which sells high-quality quotas with WWF's Gold Standard. We chose a project in Madagascar where locally produced solar cookers replace wood burning, significantly easing cooking and reducing the threat of deforestation.

We Take Responsibility
Onepark, together with its sister companies, is a significant player in the Nordic region in providing parking for passenger cars. In total, we have over 300 parking facilities that are rented out, maintained, and managed. Onepark thus becomes the largest operator in parking. Our position entails a responsibility. We want to contribute to making the parking experience part of the solution, not the problem, and Onepark has taken the lead in making parking a quality experience for customers. Safety, efficiency, accessibility, and service for customers are guiding parameters for our business.
We cannot ignore that driving and traffic have a significant climate and environmental footprint. And even though a parked car does not pollute where it stands, we want to contribute to making the entire car's usage and value chain as non-polluting as possible.
Our Vision
Onepark will contribute to a positive and sustainable development in society. We commit to:
- Minimizing the burden on the environment and climate
- Focusing on the customer and always striving to be perceived as "a bit more pleasant"
- Working long-term to create measurable results for our partners and owners
This vision commits us. We are a company that takes social responsibility, and we know it means putting actions before words. Efficient and sustainable operations that take care of the environment, nature, and people's health will yield both social and economic results. In the coming years, we will focus particularly on several areas:
- We only use renewable energy with origin guarantees
- We work according to ISO 14001 and 9001 standards and are certified with both standards
- We minimize the use of water and chemicals and strive to generate as little waste as possible
- We continuously evaluate technologies and solutions that help minimize greenhouse gas emissions and local pollution
We know this will meet both market expectations and regulatory requirements - and we are proud of the processes we carry out. We look forward to communicating more about this in the future. Our hope is that our activities will inspire both competitors and partners.
